A robe cut from muslin: lightweight cotton woven in an open, gauze-like structure, with two of those layers held together as double gauze. The weave is what gives it the crinkle and the weightlessness. It's the same cloth used for baby swaddles, scaled up.

It starts at the water but doesn't stop there. The gauze layers trap pockets of air that hold body heat without weight, so it works over long sleeves well into all seasons.

A muslin robe is perfect for slow mornings, after showers, lounging at home, beach days, and travel. Lightweight, breathable, and soft, it’s an easy layer you’ll want to wear every day.

No. Wash cold on a gentle cycle and turn it inside out first, and the paint stays put. What it won't survive is bleach or a hot tumble dry. The same things that ruin the cotton anyway.
